Two weeks ago, tennis legend Chris Evert told Woman's Day that she had "no idea" husband Greg Norman wanted to split, adding, "Never in a million years did I imagine it would end up like this." And yet 15 months after the power couple was married they had separated.

But apparently it's more complicated than just blaming Norman for his lack of commitment. Tuesday's Daily Mail has some comments from Norman's sister about Evert and her controlling ways.
The wedding of two of the sporting world's former No.1 players was a lavish 100-guest, £1.3million event in the Bahamas in 2008 - but Norman's sister Janis Norman says it was doomed from the start.

'She became very dominating and controlling and it became very apparent she was treating my brother badly,' said Miss Norman. 'We all saw it, including his friends,' she told the Australian New Idea magazine.

'We all agreed that she did not like the fact that Greg had a higher profile and that she was now taking a back seat.'
So there's that. And this, also via the Mail, which is priceless: Saying the public attack on her brother following his divorce from Miss Andrassy took its toll, Miss Norman said the normally private family was tired of his ex-wives speaking publicly about their time with him.

Here's a thought: quit getting married.

There are also allegations from Norman's sister that Evert talked Greg out of buying property in Queensland because "she hated it here," and that Greg once told his sister that, "Sis, living with Chrissie made Laura look like a cupcake."

There is good news: Norman's current girlfriend, Kirsten Kutner, is in his sister's good graces. "She is a very accomplished woman but does not feel the need to be in the driver's seat."

Until the marriage, anyway.
