(July 23) -- Bonnie made landfall on the southern Florida peninsula this afternoon. The storm, which was downgraded to a tropical depression this afternoon, is expected to continue moving northwest across Florida today and into the eastern Gulf of Mexico tonight and Saturday. It will likely move into the northern Gulf of Mexico late Saturday. By Sunday morning, forecasters predict it will make landfall again along the southern coast of Louisiana.
