(July 23) -- The new "The End of History" ale might be the best or worst beer idea in history, depending on your tastes. First, the world doesn't need a beer that at 55 percent alcohol is stronger than vodka. It also doesn't need a beer that costs 500 British pounds ($770). Finally, and unequivocally, there's no need for a beer to be served inside the carcass of a dead animal. The counterargument, in a nutshell, is that all of the above sounds like the makings for an interesting party.

Either way, that's the conception behind the new beer, offered up by BrewDog, a Scottish brewery: expensive, powerful beer served inside stuffed stoats, squirrels and hares.

The stunt has been decried by animal rights groups, But he manufacturer tells AOL that he's just trying to have some fun. "It's an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion; changing the general perception of beer one stuffed animal at a time."

Tipplers looking for to see just what "The End of History" tastes like should note that only 12 bottles have been produced.
