Denver Broncos first-round pick Tim Tebow signed a multi-year, endorsement contract with Jockey. The quarterback starred at the University of Florida for four years. He won the 2007 Heisman Trophy and helped the Gators claim two BCS national title games in his time at Gainesville. "Tim is a highly gifted athlete with a positive attitude and an admirable character," Jockey CEO Debra S. Waller said in a statement. "We at Jockey see a very bright future with Tim, and believe that he is an excellent representative for the brand. Tim is genuine, smart and driven and those qualities align well with Jockey. We look forward to building a long and collaborative relationship with him in the coming years."
The 22-year-old will serve as Jockey's spokesman, working with many different product lines including the "Staycool" collection that will launch in the spring of 2011. Tebow will be featured in catalogs, television advertisements and print advertisements.
Tebow proved his popularity this spring when he had the NFL's best-selling jersey from the draft through June 30.
