Big Apple residents got two-thirds of the way to some sort of sweep on Wednesday, when they decided to boo/growl/be angry at new Miami Heat semi-star Chris Bosh as he rang the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange.
This non-news-news comes from the New York Post and on the heels of LeBron James being booed at Carmelo Anthony's wedding in NYC, it's obviously the most disturbing thing that will happen in sports today.
He was also told by a security guard that "New York is where it's at," and not Miami, which is boring and lame.Bosh, who's finishing a week's visit here that included a trip to the Hamptons, told us, "About 600 people have told me I should have signed with the Knicks."
The really awesome part is that Bosh was ringing the bell not because tagging along with Dwyane Wade and James has made him famous, but he was promoting a charity named After School All-Stars, where $20 gets donated for every rebound he, Mike Miller and LeBron pull down.
So, um, stay classy, New York. As always.
Update (kind of): Lest the gentle comment-folk continue berating me for my "non-news-news" and the association with the Post, let's be clear that it's not-news-news because of what happened, not because the Post reported it.
