The Miami Heat have added another veteran to complement their star-studded trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Veteran guard Eddie House has agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $2.8 million. The second year of the deal comes with a player's option.

This marks a return engagement for House with the Heat. He was their second-round draft pick in 2000 and played in Miami for three seasons.

House has since played for eight other teams, including Boston and New York last season, when he averaged 7.0 points in 68 games off the bench.

He has averaged 7.6 points per game for his career.

House will be a strong contender for a reserve role as part of the Heat's supporting cast for Wade, James and Bosh.
