Percy Harvin wPercy Harvinas carted off the Vikings' practice field with an "unknown injury" Saturday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. Minnesota coach Brad Childress was not scheduled to meet with the media, so there was no immediate update on Harvin's status.

According to the Star Tribune's Judd Zulgad, Harvin did not appear to suffer an obvious injury. He did make a difficult catch just prior to leaving the field, though, in which his helmet popped off as he fell to the ground. But Harvin immediately got to his feet and continued running with the ball.

The injury came just hours before Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson -- like Harvin, a versatile member of his team's offense and return unit -- was carted off the field. Jackson suffered a back injury, the team announced.

Harvin endured substantial issues with migraine headaches in 2009, a lingering problem that forced him to miss Minnesota's Week 14 win over Cincinnati. The Vikings are already dealing with the questionable health status of WR Sidney Rice, who suffered a hip injury during the playoffs last January. Rice opened camp on the team's active/physically unable to perform list, but has said he expects to be ready for Week 1.

(Update: Zulgad reported that Harvin returned to the field for the Vikings' late practice Saturday. There was still no word on what forced him to depart earlier in the day, but it's obviously nothing serious.)
