Unable to reach agreement with the Baltimore Orioles to air their preseason games on their team-owned and operated channel, the Baltimore Ravens announced Wednesday that their final three contests will air on TV stations in Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, Pa.

The Ravens' games against the Washington Redskins (Aug. 21) , the New York Giants (Aug. 28) and the St. Louis Rams (Sept. 2) will air on the CW affiliate in Washington as well as on the ABC affiliate in Harrisburg. Both cities are considered secondary markets for the Ravens. Thursday's exhibition opener against the Carolina Panthers will be carried nationwide on ESPN.

The Ravens had announced earlier this month that it was dropping its four-year long relationship with the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, the Orioles-owned channel, to air its preseason games as well as ancillary programming, such as coaches' shows.

While the team's programming airs locally, MASN's placement on cable and satellite systems around the country gave the Ravens the ability to place their shows to their fans outside the Baltimore area.

While the Ravens and Orioles had claimed their split was amicable, WNST, a Baltimore-area all-sports radio station, reported this week that Orioles owner Peter Angelos personally squashed a deal that had been tentatively reached between the sides over rights fees, and demanded a personal meeting with Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti.
