Bob Bradley's run as head coach of the U.S. Soccer team has not come to a close just yet, despite a wealth of rumors saying he had resigned from his national side post to coach Aston Villa in the English Premier League. On Friday, Neil Buethe, U.S. Soccer senior manager of communications, told Reuters that negotiations are still ongoing with Bradley.
"The reports that Bob Bradley has resigned are not true. U.S. Soccer officials plan to continue discussions with Bob in the near future," said Buethe.
Buethe's statement came on the heels of numerous reports earlier Friday that said Bradley had resigned.
Bradley is being strongly linked to the open coaching slot at EPL side Aston Villa. Aston Villa is owned by an American, Randy Lerner, which has fueled much of the speculation that Bradley is bound for Villa.
