If there was any remaining mystery regarding Brett Favre's plans for 2010, it's gone now. According to the Vikings' official team website, Favre will practice with the team Wednesday, then participate in a press conference around 2:30 p.m. ET to discuss his decision to return.

Favre arrived in Minnesota Tuesday, accompanied by three Vikings teammates -- Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson and Ryan Longwell -- who had flown to Mississippi to coax the veteran QB to return for one more season.

Earlier Wednesday, Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that Favre, who was in line to make $13 million this season, had received a bump in salary and incentive-based bonus from the Vikings that could push his 2010 earnings into the $20 million range.

Favre's return on Aug. 18 falls exactly one year to the day that he joined the Vikings in 2009 after contemplating retirement.

Minnesota's next preseason game comes Sunday night in San Francisco on NBC. Favre made his Vikings' debut during the team's second preseason game last summer, making a shortened appearance in a 17-14 win over the Chiefs.
