Lindsay Lohan Out of Rehab, On to New Hearing, Actual Movies
Lindsay Lohan was released from a UCLA inpatient drug-treatment program today, Radar Online reports, just 22 days into her court-ordered 90-day stay. The reason? "Due to overcrowding and good behavior," People reports.
Interestingly, Lohan reportedly had to involve a decoy version of herself to escape from the facility without being swarmed by paparazzi. The first thing she did upon her departure was call up her mother, Dina.
Earlier this month, the legally struggling starlet was freed from a 90-day jail term at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., after serving just 13 days.
Lohan will continue her treatment at the L.A. rehab center on an outpatient basis, the New York Daily News reports. As part of the terms of her ongoing probation, Lohan is set to receive random drug and alcohol screenings through August 2011, but that could change depending on how the judge rules at a new hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
Change they very well might: Despite allegations of preferential treatment throughout her legal ordeals, it appears that Lohan has actually been getting a bum rap from reporters all along. Earlier this week, the celebrity circuit was thrown for a collective loop by the news that doctors at UCLA declared that Lohan was not, in-fact, a drug addict, as many had assumed, but rather suffered from a misdiagnosed condition of ADHD. They advocated for Lohan's early release.
And for once in what seems like a long time, the actress has two hotly anticipated films on the way: the gory, R-rated revenge film "Machete," in which she plays a supporting role as a gun-toting Catholic nun, set to hit theaters Sept. 3, and "Inferno," a biopic about porn actress Linda Lovelace, in which she plays the starring role, and is still shooting.
