At some point in the last 20 years it became commonplace for skydivers -- whether they be trained professionals or some dude in a mascot getup -- to pull the ripcord, parachute into stadiums, gently land on the turf and enjoy the cheers of thousands. So now any time you actually hear about them and their adventures in the air, it probably means something went wrong.
Such is the case with the US Army Ranger (who remains unidentified, other than "John" in the video below) who got stuck on a flagpole at Rangers Ballpark on Tuesday night.
While the rest of his compatriots managed to successfully hit the gigantic bright green, 1600-square foot (approximately, anyway) target, this fella just couldn't close the deal. Thankfully, because this wasn't the Pirates, there were actually media members there to capture not just the photo, but video as well.
