Dancing With the Stars Season 11 CastThe "Dancing With the Stars" Season 11 cast was officially announced on Monday night, and the new group of contestants includes two retired athletes -- former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and former NBA forward Rick Fox.

Surprisingly, this isn't Warner's first foray into dancing for the general public, but he's going to need to do more than just "walk it out" like he did on the Ellen Degeneres Show and at a charity football flag event. The 39-year-old Super Bowl winner will actually be up against contestants half his age like 19-year-olds Bristol Palin and Kyle Massey, who is an actor known for his appearance on "That's So Raven" (my little cousin is a fan, I swear).

Fox, 41, has acted in various TV shows such as "Oz" and "Ugly Betty" since his retirement from the NBA in 2004, and he's got a decent shot at lasting deep into eliminations. But he's likely no Chad Ochocinco when it comes to putting on the moves.

Also in the Season 11 cast: Michael Bolton, Margaret Cho, Jennifer Grey, David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson (age 76!), Brandy Norwood, Audrina Patridge, and last but never least, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. Yeah, it's not a veritable who's who of "stars," but everyone knows The Situation + Sarah Palin's daughter = ratings.

As a whole, though, the casting choices have been criticized by some as one of the worst ever in the history of the show. If you're having trouble remembering who a few of these celebrities are, The Wall Street Journal has a good rundown and TV Squad has developing coverage.

Season 11 of "Dancing With the Stars" premieres Sept. 20 on ABC. Hopefully watching Warner walk it out in the video below can tide you over. Take it away, Kurt!
