You can't fault Detroit safety Louis Delmas for being excited. For the first time in a long time, the Lions have a legit franchise quarterback, one of the league's best wideouts, a man-killer along the defensive line, and a chance to be competitive.
So it's only natural that Delmas would be overly enthusiastic during pregame introductions.
As YouTube poster GordyGripes dryly notes, "It appears that groin injury Louis suffered ... is all better now."
Delmas was asked after the game about flattening the unsuspecting youngsters. "Any kid that I hit, I'll tell him I apologize and if they want me to sign something I'll go ahead and sign. I'll even give him a hug."
The Ann Arbor News has more from Delmas: "I'm so used to having so much space and I came out and felt a little bump on my butt and I looked around and there are kids all over the ground. I felt bad."
