Troy Polamalu is most famously known for his legion of luxurious locks. More so than any other professional athlete. Only Tim Tebow's monkish-do had the power to supplant Polamalu as the NFL's most curious hairstyle. But since Tebow has since paid his rookie dues, Polamalu once again regains the title as professional athlete most likely to wind up on Hair Ideas magazine. Which is why it may not come as much of a surprise to find out that Head and Shoulders has insured Polamalu's hair for $1 million. It was bound to happen, right?
Head and Shoulders insured his locks through the famed British insurance firm Lloyd's of London. You may wonder why Head and Shoulders would bother to insure the All-Pro safety's hair. Well, for one he's sponsored by the shampoo brand. And, secondly, well... why don't we go to the tape.
Oh no he didn't!
Then again, ESPN's Peter Keating spoke with an insurance underwriter who denied competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi's arthritic jaw. Score another win for Joey Chestnut. USA! USA! USA!
