Chad OchocincoHe has proposed to a cheerleader on the sideline, donned an imitation Hall of Fame jacket and turned the end zone into his own private putting green. But now Chad Ochocinco has something else up his sleeve for the Cincinnati Bengals' regular-season opener at New England -- and it's likely to make Paul Revere roll over in his grave.

The flashy Bengals wide receiver boasted on his Twitter account Tuesday that -- if he scores a touchdown against the Patriots -- he is going to walk over to where the men dressed as Minutemen form up in their ranks at Gillette Stadium, take one of their rifles and shoot into the air.

"If i am able to score Week 1 in New England i will be taking the Minute Men rifle and firing as they do when the PATS score," Ochocinco tweeted.

Every stadium has its tradition for when the home team scores a touchdown, like the cannons being fired from the big pirate ship at Raymond James Stadium whenever the Tampa Bay Bucs score, but as the only team in the NFL representing the country's patriotic history with its colors, nickname and location, New England takes its tradition very seriously.

It'll be interesting to see how quickly stadium security reacts to Ochocinco's antics should he indeed reach the end zone, and it'll definitely be interesting to see how the Patriots react.

Who can forget the infamous insulting maneuver performed by Ochocinco's newest teammate and fellow wide receiver, Terrell Owens, in Dallas 10 years ago. Owens not once, but twice ran to the middle of the field at Texas Stadium, stood on the big star and posed with his arms thrust out wide as a member of the San Francisco 49ers. The second time he was knocked off his feet by Cowboys safety George Teague and a brawl ensued.

Here's hoping cooler heads prevail next week at Gillette Stadium.
