The Celtics signed Shaquille O'Neal last month and at the time pretty much everybody agreed that the former league MVP was in the twilight of a career that also included four NBA championships. How far Shaq's game had fallen was a matter of debate right up until the time this happened: in the latest episode of "Shaq Vs." O'Neal gets a lesson from the Hoop Dr. himself... Justin Bieber. All three feet, six inches of him.
Look, it's one thing to lose to Ben Roethlisberger in flag football. It's something else entirely (and entirely unacceptable) to get Bieberized in pickup basketball.
Via TV Squad:
It's The Diesel against The Bieb on 'Shaq Vs.' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC). Justin Bieber has collected his team of teen boys, and agreed to go up against Shaquille O'Neal and his children on the family's basketball court. "If you beat me, you take my jet anywhere in the world you wanta go," says O'Neal. Deal. We won't spoil who wins. But we gotta say ... Bieber is actually good. And that's the thing: Shaq going half-speed doesn't surprise anybody, but Bieber looking like he's played basketball before was a huge shock.
Silver lining: as often happens in these situations, a little on-stage rapping singalong makes everything better. No, really: "Later, the pro basketball player/recording artist joins The Bieb at one of his concerts, showing off his other skillz during 'Baby'."
