Brandon SpikesWhat flies for Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton may not necessarily fly for everyone. Just ask Brandon Spikes.

The New England Patriots rookie linebacker not only may have lost a potential marketing deal with Reebok, but Spikes may also face disciplinary action from the NFL, all because of the revelation that he was one of the subjects of a sex tape that has come to light.

Spikes, a second-round pick out of Florida, was apparently in line to strike a deal with the New England-based shoe company, but his agent, Terry Watson, told the Boston Globe, that the offer was revoked.

However, Dan Sarro, a Reebok spokesman told USA Today that Reebok did not pull any offer to Spikes.

"The media reports that Reebok has terminated an endorsement contract with Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes are completely false," Sarro said. "Reebok never had a deal with Brandon. The story was reported without confirmation from Reebok, and as a result inaccurate information is now being reported as fact. We had discussions with Brandon earlier this summer, as we do with many NFL players, but no agreement has been reached and he is not currently under contract with Reebok."

Whatever the case with Reebok, Spikes may find himself in a meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as the sex tape he was a part of may violate the league's code of personal conduct.

"It was something that occurred before he became an NFL draftee and a New England Patriot," Watson told ESPN. "I think for anyone it would be an embarrassing situation. Brandon has shown to many people the kind of person he is before and after being drafted in the second round. He's hoping to put this behind him and looks forward to having a great football season."

It's safe to say that for the foreseeable future, Brandon Spikes will try to avoid appearing on any tapes, save for the Patriots' game film, where he will be fully clothed.
