If Miami Heat rookie Da'Sean Butler doesn't make it in the NBA he might want to consider trying his hand at publishing short stories for children. As is evident from the recent children's story he posted on his Twitter account, Butler has quite the imagination. He brought to life a story about his encounter with Barney, the famed purple dinosaur, while walking home from school in Newark, NJ.

I have to say that I really enjoyed his story, though like anyone who dares put words on paper (or a computer screen) I feel like it's within my right to break this story down. After all, I wouldn't mind if Butler took a look at my jumper and threw a few tips my way.

I suggest you read the entire piece, and keep these notes in mind.

To start, I do like that Barney actually tackled Da'Sean. Long gone are the days when Barney the dinosaur would have strolled out from behind the wall and made some dopey comments about friendship. This is, after all, 'Brick City.' My one suggestion, however, would have been to change the type, color, and name of the animal altogether. Or, if you're going to make it an existing character you should have opted for Mr. Met.

Maybe my favorite line in all of this: "You know your father hates Purple Dinosaurs." Is that something a child is supposed to know about their father? Still, knowing that his father hates purple dinosaurs, he keeps it, then lets it roam the house while he watches "Family Guy."

Then the story really starts to take off. First, you have Da'Sean's dad finding the dinosaur, which causes him to shout "OMG!" In the next installment we might find out that his father suffers from Bieber fever.

Butler's dad then asks him to explain what the "pile of Dinosaur doo-doo" is do-doing on the table. A smart alec remark would have fit nicely here, but "What does it look like it's doing?" or "He's early, I told him dinner was at five" probably would not have had his father ROTFL.

The story concludes with Butler taking Barney to a Game Stop where they find homes for pets. I do love the range of emotions that Butler went through at the end. He lashed out at the dinosaur who he once loved, then cried, and then "drowned his sorrows" with six root beers. Sounds like my honeymoon!

There is, however, a moral to this story. "Sometimes you best friends can get your "whoopee cakes" n a lot of trouble be sure to listen to your parents they know what's best." Now, if you don't mind, Da'Sean has some doo-doo to clean up.
