ISTANBUL (AP) -- Oklahoma City Thunder center Nenad Krstic had 16 points and Aleksander Rasic scored 5 points in the last 21 seconds to help Serbia edge Croatia, 73-72, in the Round of 16 at the FIBA World Championship.Croatia was the first team eliminated in the Round of 16.
Guard Marko Popovic of Croatia made two free throws with five seconds left to tie the game at 72-72, but Rasic was fouled by Davor Kus as he attempted a shot with a second left.
Rasic made one of two free throws, and Popovic's full-court shot fell short as time expired.
Rasic finished with 15 points for Serbia. Popovic led Croatia with 21 points.
Serbia, which finished first in Group A during pool play with a 4-1 record, outscoring the opposition, 465-356, will next play in the quarterfinals Wednesday against the winner of Saturday's later game between Greece and Spain.
