Germany's WBA super world middleweight 160 pounds) king Felix Sturm ended a 14-month layoff with Saturday's 12-round unanimous decision over Dominican Republican-born Givonni Lorenzo before Sturm's partisan fans at Lanxess-Arena, Cologne, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
In victory, the 31-year-old Strum iimproved to 34-2-1, with 14 knockouts, including a mark of is 9-0-1 with three knockouts since losing by a July, 2006, 10th-round knockout to Javier Castillejo that dethroned him as WBA champion.

The 29-year-old Lorenzo had won twice straight by knockout, but slipped to 29-3, with 21 knockouts, losing for the third time in his past six fights.

Sturm won, 117-111 on two cards, and, 118-111 on the third.
