Joe TheismannJoe Theismann will be back in the broadcast booth as part of NFL Network's Thursday night telecasts, the league announced on Monday.

Theismann, who led the Washington Redskins to a Super Bowl victory in 1983, has worked sporadically since he was replaced as an analyst for "Monday Night Football" after the 2006 season. Theismann will call the games alongside Bob Papa and Matt Millen when the NFL Network begins its eight-game run at midseason.

"It's great to be back in the booth and joining Matt and Bob on NFL Network's primetime games," Theismann told USA Today. "We have a great schedule of games and I can't wait for them to begin."
