Dallas ClarkThe opening weekend saw several of the "usual" suspects make good on their normal lofty fantasy rankings. The tight end position is one where you gamble by taking a big name in the early-to-middle rounds or simply wait for the leftovers. You can always find a viable TE that will get you points if you miss out on the big names. However, isn't it just easier to not have to worry week in and week out?

I've mentioned it in this space before and will probably go on repeat like a broken record most of the season. We are at about four or five surefire bets at the TE spot in fantasy football. And we are slowly creeping to the "two kings." That's right, early on Antonio Gates and Dallas Clark have the leg up as guys you absolutely don't ever consider benching. All should go according to plan again this weekend as they both reign supreme, regardless of the matchups.

As for the rest of the ranks...

Visanthe Shiancoe has been on fire when it comes to scoring TDs. He always seems to score, right? Yes, he does. With Brett Favre not quite in sync with his receivers just yet, it's safe to say Shiancoe will produce another big game.

Todd Heap is moving his way back into weekly consideration after a decent game on Monday Night Football. He faces the Bengals this weekend and another solid outing should vault him back up the ranks.

Brent Celek's value takes a slight hit, but not much even if Michael Vick is the QB. You know why? Yup, he faces the Lions who just love to give away freebies to the opposing TE.

• I'm not buying the Marcedes Lewis bandwagon yet. Sorry, I'm just not a believer.

• The Patriots have possibly gone from a team that suffered mightily at the TE position for years to having two legit pass-catching tight ends at Brady's disposal. I still like Rob Gronkowski a little more than Aaron Hernandez, but let's see what this week brings.

• Lastly, if you're looking for your sleeper, let's try Ben Watson. It's a reach, but the Chiefs were picked on by the Chargers not just with Antonio Gates, but also Randy McMichael on MNF.
