A gunman enters a hospital, hunts down and shoots a doctor he believes has given shoddy care to a loved one. That scenario holds true both for Thursday's fatal incident at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and for the finale of the fictitious characters of the television show "Grey's Anatomy."
Police have identified Paul Warren Pardus as the shooter in the case, the Baltimore Sun reported, after initial reports incorrectly singled out a man named Warren Davis, which may have been an alias used by Pardus. Witnesses said the gunman was distraught after learning that his mother had been paralyzed at the hospital.
While details continued to emerge about the Baltimore shooting, the basic overlapping similarities with the "Grey's Anatomy" script were acknowledged by more than a few Twitter users.
