(Sept. 21) -- A section of bleachers collapsed at a car race in Brazil, injuring more than 100 people, authorities say.

Sunday's collapse, captured on video, shows the seating giving way without warning, sending people falling to the ground at the Quatro Pontes stadium in Brazil's southern Parana state.

Fire officials said 111 people were injured, 22 critically, The Associated Press reported. Five hundred people had been sitting in that part of the grandstand.

Police are investigating the cause, though authorities suspect structural problems, AP said.

After the bleachers crumbled, some fans walked away seemingly unhurt, but a chaotic scene unfolded, with some people screaming and others helping the injured onto stretchers.
