It's a pretty weird world that Billy lives in. And it just got a little weirder, because Billy Gibby is no longer Billy Gibby.
For his latest sponsorship, Gibby has legally changed his name to Hostgator Dotcom.
"I can't wait to see the look on people's faces when they see my driver's license," Dotcom told AOL News. "Or when they announce me into the ring for a fight with, 'Please welcome Hostgator Dotcom.' "
The boxer, who already has a HostGator.com tattoo, is the perfect embodiment of the Web hosting brand, according to Lance Custen, CEO of HostGator.com.
"Billy, or should I say Hostgator Dotcom, is a great guy and we couldn't pick someone better to brand our company name. He's a successful boxer, a living organ donor and has a great attitude," Custen said.
If Dotcom ever gets knocked out, it'll give a whole new meaning to saying, "Hostgator is down!"
But given Hostgator's claim of serving nearly 2 percent of all traffic on the Internet, perhaps its uptime bodes well for the boxing billboard.
Since AOL News last wrote about Dotcom, he and his girlfriend, Mailyne, have gotten engaged. The couple still live in Anchorage, Alaska, with their kids, Princess and William -- who still use the last name Gibby.
So what's next for Dotcom?
"I am in the process of doing what may be my final tattoo ad," he told AOL News.
And it's going to be quite an encore.
"It would be on my genitals." said Dotcom, who hopes to sell that particular piece of real estate to an adult entertainment company.
A wise choice, as that particular vertical is growing with no sign of shrinkage.
