The NFL's players' union has opened a trust fund to assist in the education and health care expenses of Keon McKinley, the son of former Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley, who was found dead Monday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The NFL Players Association set up the trust fund in memory of Kenny McKinley, 23, a second-year player out of South Carolina, whom the Broncos had placed on injured reserve for the second straight season after knee surgery. The union has made an initial donation to the fund and is requesting contributions from other players and the public.

The Denver Post reported that the Broncos will honor Kenny McKinley with a moment of silence before Sunday's home game with the Indianapolis Colts. Each player will wear a decal with his No. 11 on their helmets for the rest of the season.
