Clinton Portis, Joseph Addai and Beanie Wells were three of the biggest question marks heading into the late afternoon games, and as we originally expected, all three running backs are active for Week 3.Portis (wrist) is in the starting lineup against St. Louis and remains a strong play. He was a full participant in practice all week despite the "questionable" tag on the injury report, which probably was just a case of head coach Mike Shanahan playing mind games.
Addai, who is coping with a knee injury, will play but likely split carries with Donald Brown at Denver. The distribution of touches was pretty even last week in the Colts' win over the Giants -- Addai had 22 while Brown got 17.
Arizona will go with a tandem of Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower versus the Raiders. It's a nice welcome-back opponent for Wells in his first game since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in early September.
Other notable actives include running back Michael Bush, who returns for the Raiders to split time with Darren McFadden, and wide receiver Steve Breaston for Arizona.
Running backs Ryan Mathews and Knowshon Moreno are both inactive as expected. Mike Tolbert and Correll Buckhalter get value boosts for this week in their absence.
