Shawne Merriman Suffers Calf Injury

SEATTLE – Shawne Merriman, San Diego's star outside linebacker, left the Chargers' game at Seattle late in the first quarter Sunday. Merriman came up limping with a calf injury and did not return.

Seattle won the game, 27-20, thanks to a pair of Leon Washington kickoff returns for touchdowns.

Merriman missed the Chargers' opener at Kansas City with an Achilles' injury, though he did play in a Week 2 victory over Jacksonville

The Chargers also lost guard Louis Vasquez to a knee injury.

Seattle thought it might not get any more from wide receiver Mike Williams, who went down with a shoulder injury, but he came back in the middle of the second quarter.
