Remember the 20-something maniac who got in a shoving match with an older man and his daughter at the U.S. Open earlier this month? (If not, here's a refresher.)
Anyway, Joseph Pedevill, 27, has apparently let his temper again get him in trouble with authorities. Except this time, it's not the U.S. Open security detail (who, gauging by how long it took them to respond to the incident in the video above, weren't in much of a hurry to keep things from escalating). It's the police.
Details via the New York Post:
The degenerate gambler who tangled with an elderly stroke victim and his daughter during a wild US Open brawl has been arrested for raising another racket, police sources said yesterday. The Post reports that yelling "I am going to kill you" is a violation of the restraining order (who knew?), and that prompted the arrest.
A belligerent Joseph Pedevill, 27, was hauled away from his East 26th Street building in cuffs after allegedly threatening to kill neighbor Peter Scheider, 46, who called him "an insane nut" during an interview with The Post about the tennis-match fight...Days after Scheider ripped him in The Post, Pedevill accosted him outside their building and screamed, "You f- -king a- -hole!" according to a criminal complaint. "You are going to get it. You are going to see what is going to happen to you. I am going to kill you."
For what it's worth, Pedevill denied making the threats but did say that living in the same building with Scheider was trying. "It's not just me," Pedevill told the Post. "Other people in the building have problems with him."
As for the U.S. Open melee -- Pedevill, along with the two others involved, has been banned for two years.
