World Series trophyThe 2010 playoffs are right around the corner. Before they get under way, it's time for the entire MLB FanHouse crew to peer into their respective crystal balls and take a stab at what will happen in the coming weeks.

It's a tale of two leagues. We can't agree on what will happen in the AL, with every postseason participant picked at least once to appear in the World Series, but we're pretty certain what will happen on the other side of the draw. Only one brave soul picked a team other than the reigning league champion Phillies to appear in the Fall Classic for the NL.

Read on below to see all of our picks, then leave your own in the comments and tell us where we went wrong.

ALDS: Rays vs. Rangers
Ed Price Rays Tampa Bay Rays Tampa Bay isn't afraid of Texas ace Cliff Lee, having gone 3-0 against him this year (24 hits and 13 runs in 23 2/3 innings). Get a win against Lee, and the Rangers will feel the pressure.
-- Ed Price

Texas Rangers When you have Cliff Lee in a five-game game series, you have a great shot at two wins. If they can get a solid pitching performance somewhere else, suddenly there's a real chance of an upset.
-- Frankie Piliere
Jeff Fletcher Rays
Frankie Piliere Rangers
John Hickey Rangers
Andrew Johnson Rays
Marc Lancaster Rays
Knox Bardeen Rays
Tom Fornelli Rays
Tom Krasovic Rays
Josh Alper Rays
Steve Phillips Rangers
Pat Lackey Rangers

ALDS: Twins vs. Yankees
Ed Price Twins New York YankeesNew York's pitching concerns have been overblown, and all things considered, it remains the deepest team in the AL. The Yanks will be too much for Minnesota.
-- Andrew Johnson

Minnesota TwinsDon't pay attention to the history, look at the present. The Yankees have been underperforming since the All-Star break while the Twins keep getting better. Bet on the Yankees simply flipping a switch if you like, but I'll go with the team that's never stopped performing.
-- Josh Alper
Jeff Fletcher Twins
Frankie Piliere Yankees
John Hickey Twins
Andrew Johnson Yankees
Marc Lancaster Twins
Knox Bardeen Yankees
Tom Fornelli Yankees
Tom Krasovic Yankees
Josh Alper Twins
Steve Phillips Yankees
Pat Lackey Yankees

NLDS: Phillies vs. Reds
Ed Price Phillies Philadelphia PhilliesRoy Halladay, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels. If you need another reason to favor the Phillies (and you really don't) how about a lineup built around Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Jayson Werth.
-- Jeff Fletcher

Philadelphia Phillies Yes, the Reds can swing the bats, but facing Halladay, Oswalt and Hamels in a short series is anyone's worst-case scenario. Philly has too much talent and know-how to lose.
-- Marc Lancaster
Jeff Fletcher Phillies
Frankie Piliere Phillies
John Hickey Phillies
Andrew Johnson Phillies
Marc Lancaster Phillies
Knox Bardeen Phillies
Tom Fornelli Phillies
Tom Krasovic Phillies
Josh Alper Phillies
Steve Phillips Phillies
Pat Lackey Phillies

NLDS: Giants vs. Braves
Ed Price Giants San Francisco Giants Both teams have good pitching and average lineups, but the Giants' pitching is a little better because of the absence of Jair Jurrjens in the Atlanta rotation.
-- Jeff Fletcher

Atlanta Braves The Braves are not as bad as they've looked down the stretch, nor are the Giants as good. Give an ever-so-slight edge to the experienced Braves, especially with their tremendous bullpen.
-- Andrew Johnson
Jeff Fletcher Giants
Frankie Piliere Giants
John Hickey Giants
Andrew Johnson Braves
Marc Lancaster Giants
Knox Bardeen Giants
Tom Fornelli Giants
Tom Krasovic Giants
Josh Alper Giants
Steve Phillips Giants
Pat Lackey Giants

ALCS
Ed Price Rays Tampa Bay RaysEven in success, the Rays seem to find a way to make things interesting, as evidenced by the 2008 ALCS. This series is no slam dunk, but Crawford and Longoria will make the difference.
-- Marc Lancaster

New York YankeesThe crystal ball says David Price will suffer in weather far too cold for baseball, then Phil Hughes and Mariano Rivera will pitch the Yankees to their second straight American League pennant.
-- Tom Krasovic
Jeff Fletcher Twins
Frankie Piliere Yankees
John Hickey Twins
Andrew Johnson Yankees
Marc Lancaster Rays
Knox Bardeen Rays
Tom Fornelli Yankees
Tom Krasovic Yankees
Josh Alper Twins
Steve Phillips Rangers
Pat Lackey Yankees

NLCS
Ed Price Phillies San Francisco GiantsThe Giants throw all that pitching at you, batter after batter, inning after inning. That's going to be enough to get them to the Fall Classic.
-- John Hickey

Philadelphia PhilliesThe Giants may have the only pitchers that can hang with the Phillies rotation, but they don't have the bats to hang with them over the course of a seven-game series.
-- Josh Alper
Jeff Fletcher Phillies
Frankie Piliere Phillies
John Hickey Giants
Andrew Johnson Phillies
Marc Lancaster Phillies
Knox Bardeen Phillies
Tom Fornelli Phillies
Tom Krasovic Phillies
Josh Alper Phillies
Steve Phillips Phillies
Pat Lackey Phillies

World Series
Ed Price Phillies Philadelphia PhilliesIt's going to be a shootout, but in this case the Yankees might be outgunned. There's just too much depth in the Philadelphia rotation this time around.
-- Frankie Piliere

Minnesota Twins The World Series is a team endeavor, and even with Justin Morneau out, I haven't seen a more balanced team in baseball this year than the Twins.
-- John Hickey
Jeff Fletcher Phillies
Frankie Piliere Phillies
John Hickey Twins
Andrew Johnson Phillies
Marc Lancaster Phillies
Knox Bardeen Phillies
Tom Fornelli Phillies
Tom Krasovic Phillies
Josh Alper Phillies
Steve Phillips Phillies
Pat Lackey Phillies

World Series MVP
Ed Price Roy Halladay Roy Halladay Roy Halladay will rise to the occasion in his first postseason, and a dominant pitcher can win the MVP, as Cole Hamels did two years ago. Halladay knows the Rays, having faced them 11 times in 2008-09.
-- Ed Price

Placido PolancoHis short swing and high baseball IQ will pay off for the Phillies as the stakes get to be their highest.
-- Tom Krasovic
Jeff Fletcher Ryan Howard
Frankie Piliere Jayson Werth
John Hickey Joe Mauer
Andrew Johnson Brad Lidge
Marc Lancaster Chase Utley
Knox Bardeen Chase Utley
Tom Fornelli Carlos Ruiz
Tom Krasovic Placido Polanco
Josh Alper Roy Halladay
Steve Phillips Jayson Werth
Pat Lackey Roy Oswalt
