In this week's fantasy quarterback rankings, previously disposed quarterback Kevin Kolb makes his return to the top 12. Kolb, the starting QB for the Eagles heading into the season, lost his job to the electric Michael Vick, but the human highlight reel is scheduled to miss Week 5's game with the 49ers due to rib and chest injuries. In steps Kolb, who has a chance to finally make a good impression in 2010 when he takes on an 0-4 49ers team. It's hard to insert Kolb right into a fantasy lineup after how bad he looked in Weeks 1 and 4, but he actually has a pretty good matchup with San Francisco, a team that has allowed over 250 passing yards in three of its four games, as well as multiple TD passes in three of its four games. The two QBs to reach both benchmarks? Drew Brees and Matt Cassel.
We can comfortably sandwich Kolb in between those two QBs, and we can also expect Philadelphia to pass even more than usual with LeSean McCoy potential out of action and only Mike Bell available to replace him. Pencil Kolb down for 40 pass attempts, over 250 yards, and 1-2 TDs on Sunday night.

• Brett Favre has had a very happy Week 5 indeed, as the Vikings added one of the league's premier receivers to Favre's arsenal by trading for Randy Moss. It's quite possible Favre reverts to his magical 2009 level of play with Moss in the fold, and although he has a tough matchup this week against the Jets, he's worth consideration as a low-level QB1. I'm still flip-flopping between Favre and Joe Flacco in a league.
• Eli Manning has a great matchup on tap when he faces a terrible Texans pass defense. Houston gave up over 400 passing yards in each of the team's first two games, and Peyton Manning and Donovan McNabb combined for four TDs in those contests. Over the last two weeks, Houston has surrendered about 280 yards and two TDs to Tony Romo and Bruce Gradkowski. The younger Manning should have a field day.
• Max Hall enters the Cardinal lineup this week, and I think he's a viable play in two-QB leagues. The New Orleans secondary is pretty banged up, and Hall should quickly develop good chemistry with fellow former backup Stephen Williams and elite receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Don't expect him to post a huge day immediately, but Hall definitely has more potential than Anderson, as does the Arizona offense with Hall under center.
