George Maloof Jr., the minority owner of the Sacramento Kings and owner of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of drunk driving.Maloof claims he was driving home with his assistant from a friend's wedding and that he had four beers. His blood-alcohol level was .086, barely over the legal limit.
"I didn't feel I was intoxicated," Maloof told the Sacramento Bee in a telephone interview Monday morning from Las Vegas.
Police say Maloof was speeding and driving without a valid license or proof of insurance. He was released Sunday morning.
