The NFL may want their investigation into the Brett Favre-Jenn Sterger scandal on the "fast track," but Sterger herself is more concerned about the outcome of the investigation, not its speed.

On Tuesday, Sterger's manager, Phil Reese, released the following statement from Sterger: "This is something that allegedly happened two years ago. We don't want a quick resolution, but the proper resolution."

A day earlier, Reese declined to comment on whether Sterger had retained counsel or was planning to, saying, "we're looking at all our options right now and our only concern is what's in Jenn's best interest."

According to reports, NFL security was at Jets headquarters on Monday to interview team employees. Favre has reportedly said he'd cooperate with whatever the league asked of him. He also reportedly spent part of Monday giving a tearful apology to his teammates for the distraction the scandal has caused.

Roger Goodell has said that once the investigation is complete, "we'll make a determination from there."
