After five weeks, the leading receiver in the NFL is ... Brandon Lloyd?

Sure enough, with 589 yards in five games, Lloyd sits ahead of Reggie Wayne and way ahead of everyone else in receiving yards. Averaging almost 120 yards per game, the Broncos new No. 1 receiver has posted just one subpar game (in Week 2) and has caught at least five balls for at least 115 yards in Denver's other four games. In the team's last two games, Lloyd went in to Tennessee and Baltimore, two teams with good pass defenses, and carved them up, catching 11 balls in the Tennessee game and scoring two TDs in the Baltimore game.

So, does a matchup with the New York Jets, one of the most feared pass defenses around, mean the good times are going to come to an end in Week 6? Not at all.

Through five games this season, Lloyd has more yardage than in any entire year of his career save one (and he's been playing since 2003). He's on pace to completely shatter his own past performances as well as our perceptions about our ability. Keep him in your lineup until he gives you reason not to believe.

• Randy Moss' Minnesota return was successful not only for Moss, who racked up his best yardage total of the season and a touchdown despite having no familiarity with Minnesota's offense, but also for Percy Harvin, who tallied 97 yards and two TDs, both season highs. When Moss is on the field he commands the attention of the defense, making him the anti-Bernard Berrian. Harvin's stock is on the way up as a result, and he's a top 10 option just like Moss, even with Brett Favre nursing an elbow injury.

• The return of Ben Roethlisberger means it's time to give everyone in the Pittsburgh passing game a big bump up. This has led to top-15 rankings for both Hines Ward and Mike Wallace this week. While it's unlikely both will have huge fantasy days, one should, and it's really anyone's call which it will be. It's likely too late to buy low on Roethlisberger, but you still may be able to acquire either Ward or Wallace on the cheap before Roethlisberger reminds people why he's won two Super Bowls.

• Mike Sims-Walker showed he had a pulse with solid a Week 5 offering. I was more than ready to send MSW to the waiver wire in my league, and if I had any viable options with which to replace him after Week 4, I would have done so. Instead, I saw him come alive for about 10 minutes on Sunday and score his second TD of the season. He's now paired two disappearing acts with two effective games, and that's good enough to get him back in the conversation as a WR3. I like his matchup this week, and I believe Jack Del Rio when he says that MSW will be get more involved in the offense moving forward.

• Injuries to Austin Collie and Calvin Johnson (among others) knock them further down than they should be, so owners of each receiver will want to play it by ear on Sunday and see whether either play will be available for Week 6. For what it's worth, each would probably rise about 15 spots in the rankings if they were sure to play. Johnson would still seem low, but I don't trust him, Shaun Hill or the Detroit offensive line against a beastly Giants defense that just had its way with Chicago and Houston.
