Nick BarnettThe Green Bay Packers' injury woes show no sign of easing up, as linebacker Nick Barnett has been lost for the season.

The Packers announced Friday that Barnett has been placed on injured reserve.

Barnett suffered a wrist injury in Week 4 against the Lions and had surgery this week. Although both Barnett and Packers coach Mike McCarthy had expressed optimism that Barnett might be able to rehabilitate the injury and come back this season, the injured reserve designation means he won't be back until 2011.

Barnett is one of three starters on injured reserve for the Packers, along with running back Ryan Grant and safety Morgan Burnett. Green Bay has several other key players out at the moment, and the next major injury to watch is tight end Jermichael Finley, who also may need to be placed on injured reserve.
