ESPN television analyst Eric Young is set to join the Diamondbacks coaching staff, according to ESPN.com.

Young, who spent 15 seasons in the major leagues as a utilityman and recorded 465 career stolen bases, worked as a roving minor-league instructor for the Astros this past season in addition to his duties on "Baseball Tonight."

Per the report, he'll serve as a first-base coach for Arizona under Kirk Gibson, who was recently promoted from interim to full-time manager.

Young's son, Eric Young Jr., is a second baseman and outfielder for the division-rival Colorado Rockies, so they'll be plenty of opportunities for family rivalry going forward.
