David GarrardDavid Garrard left the Jacksonville Jaguars' game against Tennessee late in the first half Monday with a concussion. He did not return.

Garrard, the Jaguars' starting quarterback since the 2006 season, exited the game after a hard hit from Titans linebacker Will Witherspoon late in the second quarter. He was replaced in the lineup by backup Trent Edwards.

Edwards, who started the first two games of the season for Buffalo, was waived by the Bills following the third game of the season and signed with Jacksonville that week. With Garrard struggling at the time there had been speculation that Edwards could push for a starting position, but Garrard led Jacksonville to back-to-back victories over Indianapolis and Buffalo the past two weeks and quieted that talk.

Garrard walked to the locker room shortly before halftime accompanied by trainers.

Earlier in the game, Tennessee Titans starting quarterback Vince Young left the game with a sprained left knee. He was replaced by backup Kerry Collins.
