Greg Norman, a.k.a. "The Shark," is circling the bloody waters of marriage once again, according to a report from an Australian magazine.
Australian New Idea says that the 55-year-old former PGA pro is now engaged to longtime friend Kirsten Kutner. And he apparently proposed while they were hanging out in the kitchen recently. Fortunately, he made up for the lack of romance by offering up a six-carat diamond, which is probably more expensive than most folks' living quarters.
"One minute we were having a day-to-day conversation and the next moment, all of a sudden, everything changed -- our lives changed. It was perfect," Norman told the magazine.
Norman is now working on his third spouse, having divorced tennis superstar Chris Evert about a year ago, after just 18 months of marriage. Evert, by the way, was so thrilled with the way things ended that she said she'd never be friends with Norman again. I'm guessing she's really excited about this latest news.
Norman's first wife, Laura Andrassy, took about $103 million in their divorce. Given his history, there's no reason to think that the whole till-death-do-us-part vows Norman and Kutner will soon take will turn out to be something much less than that.
