Jenn Sterger is looking for work. The former Florida St. student parlayed her looks into Maxim and Playboy spreads, a gig as the New York Jets sideline reporter (which led to the situation involving Brett Favre, text messages, and alleged naughty photos), and beginning last April, co-host of Versus' sports news show, The Daily Line. Today, the network canceled The Daily Line, citing poor ratings. Sterger manager Phil Reese tells The Associated Press on Friday the decision is "unfortunate" but "part of the business."
There is no mention of what Versus considers poor ratings, but another show on the network, The T. Ocho Show, hasn't fared well in its brief run. It centers around Bengals wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson, but last week's episode drew a 0.1 rating, which works out to about 112,000 viewers. Or 40,000 less than the show that preceded it, Hockey Central.
For now, Sterger is unemployed. She has yet to meet with NFL investigators to discuss Favre, texts and alleged photos but her manager has suggested that Sterger is leaning toward doing so.
