Months after securing the number one overall seed in the D-League playoffs with the best record after a phenomenal season before falling in the Semifinals, the Iowa Energy reloaded by selecting 24-year-old guard Chris Lofton out of Tennessee with the sixth overall pick. Lofton was, according to multiple sources of Scott Schroeder, the best shooter in this draft. He played last year in the ACB Spain league for CB Estudiantes.
