Roddy White Offensive Player of Month
Roddy White, the Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, was just named NFC Offensive Player of the Month. That's 30 days, not seven days, not one week. That's a bunch of games, not one.
Talib, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-year old cornerback, is on the rise as an NFL cover guy. He wants to be as respected as Darrelle Revis of the Jets, though Revis is having his moments this season.
White had 29 catches for 489 yards in four games. In three of those games, he managed more than 100 yards receiving.
In a 39-32 win over the Bengals, White caught 11 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns.
In the 16-14 win over the 49ers, White caught seven passes for 104 yards. He saved the game late in the fourth quarter for Atlanta by running down SF corner Nate Clements who had intercepted a pass. White stripped Clements of the ball and the Falcons went down the field to kick the winning field goal.
