It's been 13 months since tennis legend Chris Evert and golf great Greg Norman separated. Their marriage lasted just 15 months, and in the year since they called it quits, Norman got engaged to new ladyfriend Kirsten Kutner, Evert said that she could never be friends with Norman, and Norman's sister responded with some frank comments about her former sister-in-law. But divorce is messy, and it's not uncommon for emotions to run high long after the relationship has ended. There is some good news, however. According to People.com, Evert is hanging tough.
"I spent the summer in Aspen healing," the tennis star, 55, told PEOPLE at Saturday night s gala for her Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic in Delray Beach, Fla., where $700,00 was raised for neglected and abused children.Ah, yes, the old cliche holds true once again: "Time in Aspen heals all wounds" (ducks, shows self out).
"My kids are great, and they have their mom back," she says, referring to sons Alexander, 19, Nicholas, 16, and Colton, 14. ... "Things are back to normal, and my sons are my first priority," says Evert.
