Starks, who is a seven-year vet, will require surgery and the Steelers expects him to make a full recovery in time for the 2011 season.
Now, rookie offensive tackle Chris Scott, a fifth-round pick from Tennessee, was activated from the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) List to replaced Stark. Scott is a 6-4, 319 pound lineman who missed all of training camp and the first eight games of the regular season after he sustained a foot injury while working out last summer.
Scott will play on the line with rookie center Maurkice Pouncey who slightly injured his leg in Monday's contest against the Bengals, but he will be fine.
