For the fifth year in a row, LR Services Plumbing -- a family-operated company that services the Los Angeles area -- has released a sizzling-hot wall calendar featuring its finest employees.
The provocative pages of the "The Plumbers" 2011 calendar are filled with sultry, seductive images of men at work. After taking one look at the spreads, it's likely that you'll never look at plumbers the same way again.
"Our goal is to change the way you view plumbers," Leonard Redway, president of LR Services Plumbing, told AOL News. "We're different not just in the way we look, but in the way we work -- from our training to our professionalism on the job."
Redway, a fourth-generation plumber who founded his business at the age of 17, came up with the concept for a fit, clean-cut crew of young plumbers back in 1997.
"I wanted to set my company apart from the rest, so I decided to get us nice, tight-fitting uniforms with clean lines. I started saving my money to produce a calendar featuring our guys and was finally able to make the first one in 2006. We've been making the calendar every year since," explained Redway.
Redway, now 31 years old, said that when he started showing up to customers' homes for plumbing jobs, people would look him up and down and often compliment his good looks.
"They would tell me I didn't look like the kind of plumbers they were used to. That's when I decided my company would try to change the way people see plumbers," he said.
Redway is one of the featured models each year in "The Plumbers" calendar, and admitted that by now, he's an old pro at the sexy photo shoots.
He said his signature spread is the month of April, which happens to be his birthday month.
This year's calendar -- hot off the press as of this week -- also features Redway as Mr. December, holding a very suggestive pipe wrench between his legs, clearly at your service.
Redway said the other three plumbers in the calendar include his two brothers, Andrew and Owen Redway, and another employee who's fine and fit at age 56.
"The older women just love him. He gets a lot of service requests after the calendar comes out every year," Redway said with a laugh. "We definitely get extra business from the calendar. We're usually swamped November and December with people wondering if the guys in there really work for us as plumbers."
Redway said the company tries its best to accommodate customer requests for specific plumbers, though some customers are disappointed when the plumbers show up to a job with their shirts on.
For the record, Redway insisted that his men keep their shirts on at all times during a job, so the calendar really is the only way to sneak a peek at their tight and toned washboard abs.
Redway's younger brother, 25-year-old Owen Redway, confirmed this and told AOL News that the most skin LR Services plumbers show is in the annual spread.
"Leonard is the most exhibitionist of us brothers, but we all show some skin," he said.
Just so there's no sibling rivalry or competition, Owen said each brother always gets the spread corresponding with his birthday month. Other pages include steamy group shots with plumbing tools.
"I am the only brother who's made the cover all by himself though," Owen joked. "So I am a little ahead of the curve. I have some bragging rights here."
Both Redway brothers said they stay in tip-top shape year round, not just for the calendar, but for the sake of their profession laying pipe.
"Plumbing is very, very physical work. Sometimes we're crawling underneath a house or digging trenches or sewer lines for hours, so you have to be in shape," Owen said.
"Our workdays can sometimes be 18 to 20 hours long. We work out at least three to four times a week to keep up with everything," Leonard added.
Of course, the plumbers' fit physiques did also aid in the calendar photo shoot.
Celebrity photographer Scott Hebert helmed the project this year and told AOL News that the guys made it easy to flush out the perfect pictures, even though it was his first time ever shooting a sexy male calendar.
Hebert wanted classy, sassy spreads and said he purposely stayed away from any cheesy, obvious shots of the guys fixing toilets or showing crack by a sink.
"We didn't want to downgrade the project by adding stuff like that. We wanted manly, provocative shots that would appeal to ladies, so I had to work hard to look at the shots from a woman's perspective, from what they would want to see," Hebert said.
Hebert set up photo sessions in a busy, sweaty boiler room and on a serene beach, playing into women's wildest fantasies.
The photog admitted he was a bit taken aback by the "shock value" of certain spreads and creative use of plumbing tools, but all in all, he's pleased with the way the calendar turned out.
"My mother is very excited about getting a copy," he said with a chuckle.
The Redway brothers said their annual calendars have been such a success in cities around the U.S. that they're constantly getting requests from other plumbers to appear in the pages.
While they said they may incorporate other toilet tempters in the future, Leonard admitted he wants to pose in it himself for as long as he can.
"The Plumbers" calendar is available now, but the boys aren't done giving their all.
This year, partial proceeds from sales of the titillating calendar will benefit the company's longtime client, the Jenesse Center for Domestic Violence, because the men of LR Services are deeply committed to giving back to their community through philanthropy.
Sexy and generous? They really are every woman's dream come true.
