MIAMI -- Tennessee Titans quarterback Kerry Collins left Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with what the team deemed a calf injury. Collins, the 16-year veteran, was replaced by Vince Young, who was held out of the starting lineup with a sore ankle. Collins was off the mark for virtually the entire first half, completing just nine of his 20 passes for 51 yards. His longest completion went for 11 yards.
Along the way, Collins was unable to get anything going in the direction of Randy Moss, claimed by the team off waivers last week. Moss had two balls thrown in his directionbefore halftime( (one drawing a 34-yard pass interference penalty to set up the Titans' lone first-half touchdown), and the second an incompletion after a crushing hit by safety Chris Clemons.
Collins was the second starting QB to be knocked from the game -- Miami's Chad Pennington, making his first start of the season, left after his team's third offensive play with a right shoulder injury.
Miami led the game 13-10 when Young entered, with his first series ending with a sack and fumble that set up a touchdown pass from Chad Henne to Patrick Cobbs to put the Dolphins ahead by 10.
