After making the New England Patriots as a rookie in 2009, safety Bret Lockett hasn't played a snap this season. A groin injury landed him on injured reserve in August. In addition to his day job as a professional football player, Lockett also models. He even signed with a modeling agency. It's a good thing Lockett is both athletic and handsome because if he had to get by on, say, his ability to spell, he'd struggle to make ends meet.
Details via the New York Post:
"Injured New England Patriot safety Bret Lockett committed a football faux pas when he misspelled his team's name on a pair of embellished duds. Lockett wrote 'Go Patrits' on the back pocket of jeans he designed for his nephew at the 77kids by American Eagle denim-decorating booth during last week's Elizabeth Glaser Kids for Kids Celebrity Carnival. He laughed off the gaffe with pals at the benefit for pediatric AIDS research..."
If misspelling your employer's name on the back of some jeans you made for your nephew while supporting a noble cause is the worst thing that happens to you then you're probably living right.
