Terrell Owens Takes Another Shot at Donovan McNabb

People have criticized Donovan McNabb for years, even when he was a very good quarterback. He's not a very good quarterback anymore, though he's still being paid like one, so we shouldn't be surprised that barbs are still flying. Especially in the wake of his three-interception performance in Monday night's disastrous 59-28 loss to the Eagles, mere hours after securing his long and lucrative extension.

And we really shouldn't be surprised that it's Terrell Owens who's firing those shots.

Owens took to Twitter early Tuesday morning in the wake of the Redskins' embarrassing loss to ask the question pretty much all of football-watching America was asking:

"How do u justify a 78 million dollar contract w/ this type of performance?"

The answer is probably "you can't." The criticism is certainly valid, though considering the source you have to wonder if he'd find a way to criticize McNabb even if he played a gem Monday night. Even when McNabb was leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl, Owens was taking shots at him.

And it's not the first time this season, either. Owens joined in the parade questioning McNabb's conditioning two weeks ago in the wake of his benching against the Lions.

According to USAToday.com, McNabb fired back at Owens during an appearance on ESPN Radio on Tuesday.

"It's unbelievable how they can comment on what I'm doing over here," McNabb reportedly said, while bringing up the Bengals' 2-7 record.
