FanHouse columnist Kevin Blackistone will take part in a panel at the Fifth Annual Shirley Povich Symposium at the University of Maryland on Wednesday night, joining a distinguished group of sports professionals to discuss the impact of the extraordinary amount of money now involved in sports and the increasing pressure to win and perform at the highest levels under the scrutiny of a 24-hour-a-day news cycle. Also joining the panel will be USA Today columnist Christine Brennan, Washington Redskins owner Daniel Synder, ESPN anchor Scott Van Pelt and ESPN television host Tony Kornheiser. The panel will be moderated by television personality Maury Povich.
