2K Sports Sets Tony Parker's 'Loyalty Rating' to Zero in Latest Update

Tony Parker recently underwent a very "anti-Spurs" publicity nightmare, as he and wife Eva Longoria filed for divorce after he allegedly had textual relations with a former teammate's wife.

So, naturally, that totally changes the way he plays on the virtual basketball court. Seriously: Owen Good of Kotaku reports that 2K sports has changed the ratings for Parker in NBA 2K11 to reflect his recent off-court behavior.

For instance, if you're running a Spurs dynasty, you now have to deal with the fact that Parker sports a "Loyalty" rating of zero. Previously, Parker was rated an 87 in terms of loyalty. While this doesn't mean he'll kick a virtual ball in your face, it does mean that re-signing him in your franchise is ... virtually impossible.

But that's not all -- Good notes that his "steal" rating got pushed up too.

As Trey Kerbz notes at TBJ, we need this to happen way more often. Like what if we cranked up Andre Johnson's "Hit Power" because he whipped up on Cortland Finnegan so badly? Or ramped down Derek Anderson's "Elusiveness" (would also be fine with "Press," hehe) because of his recent meltdown?

Granted, EA Sports is already pretty good at this -- after Mike Shanahan benched Donovan McNabb for Rex Grossman because of his conditioning, McNabb had his "Stamina" ratings pushed down. So, yeah, we need more of this on a regular basis.

But back to the main point -- it sure does stink to be Tony Parker, who's being dogged by a fake version of himself.
